So this is my first Get Ready With me (GRWM) video and I’m so happy that it happens to be for Mother’s Day. I wanted to create a look with colors that are fitting for this occasion and also for the Spring/Summer season. Mother’s Day is always a special holiday for me. Every year my mom, sister and I would go out for breakfast and then go shopping together for a few hours then go home and celebrate with the rest of our families. This way we have a little time for ourselves and appreciate each other before celebrating with the rest.
This year is different, I’m in a different state on the other side of the country but the distance will not separate our spirits. We’ll video call each other and share a conversation and greetings at once. Even if we were in the same state I would not risk coming over my mother’s house during this pandemic.
This Mother’s Day I’m asking my husband and kids to go for a little drive, and pick up one of my favorite foods. I want to go for a drive along the Pacific Ocean towards Malibu and enjoy the views. Then come through Hollywood and pick up vegan fried chicken with a side of vegan mac-n-cheese and fries from Doomie’s. Just the thought alone, makes my mouth water. It’s so good, if you are near the Hollywood area, definitely try it. It’s amazing!
